Vinyasa means "composition", it is a concept shared between Yoga and music. In Yoga the notes are the postures (Asanas), the rhythm is the breath, and both together they make the music that expands life and conciseness in the practitioner?
Felipe?s inclination rescues the therapeutical value of the practice, without losing the physical empowerment of fitness, that is a crucial component in traditional yoga for young (Vrddhi Krama), and midlife (Sthiti Krama) practitioners.
Felipe`s Vinyasa Yoga classes are a sum of multiple influences from his experience as a seasoned practitioner, teacher of Vinyasa Yoga, Teacher trainer and studio owner, participation in certifications and workshops from around the world, a strong Yoga Therapy practice healing others and himself, and a life-long passion for the studies of Human Anatomy and Biomechanics.
More than a decade ago Felipe started mixing Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in his classes. Early in life as a teacher he trained in Yoga therapy and Bodywork which he currently blends with concepts of traditional Yoga and a deep understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, biometrics, and concepts of myoatic stretch reflex, inverse stretch reflex and more.
One of Felipe?s greatest influences came from his certification with Srivatsa Ramaswami who was a life-long student of the father of modern Yoga, T. Krishnamacharya. Felipe is grateful to be a student of Ramaswami who?s teachings are rooted in a deep sense of tradition and applied philosophy.
Having a daily yoga practice can have wonderful physical benefits and beyond that it brings the practitioner to a brighter and happier experience of life.
