I have experience teaching at the academic and non-academic levels and I have a BA in English as well as an MA in linguistics. I have taught everything from SCUBA diving to working with computers, explaining aspects of hardware and software. From reading comprehension to English, to language and study skills, I have taught over 30 classes to over 300 students ranging in age from Pre-K to adult. Recently I have joined several online teaching, tutoring and advice sites such as AllExperts.com wherein I am a top-rated advisor in two fields; linguistics/phonology and linguistics/second language acquisition. My teaching methodology is not to be overly-pedantic, but instead attempt to make my classes as fun and engaging as they are informative and educational. I am very passionate about teaching and I believe that my energy and enthusiasm are infectious and this helps my students to not just learn, but to also enjoy themselves while doing so. |
