My name is Kenny and I give In-Home Drum Lessons for The Woodlands, Conroe and surrounding areas.
I have been a musician for almost 20 years. I began teaching music lessons over a decade ago. After being asked by many of my students if I could teach them how to play on their own drumkit, I decided to just start teaching my lessons at their homes. Many teachers prefer to teach out of their own studio or a music store. Those environments can involve a forced curriculum or time restrictions. I believe that when learning anything, whether it be a musical instrument or Calculus II, the student should have fun above all things. Being in a familiar environment and playing on their own equipment helps students have more fun while learning!
I believe that any student who is enjoying their instrument, having fun while learning it and seeing constant progress will continue to take lessons indefinitely!
My style of teaching is focused more on a student having fun while learning than on anything else. If you're having fun, you will learn quickly and you will remember more of what you learn. There is no set pace, as each student learns different techniques and develops new abilities at their own speed!
