Hi, I'm Imeh Akpanudosen. I?m interested in working for you as a photographer. I've been in the art industry for years. I've started fine art drawing a while back and found it to be a skill I could use in the future. Photographing images is better when you have experience drawing or doing any type of art with your hands because you naturally have an eye for what makes a good picture/image. I've been shooting for a while now and my style of photography is more photojournalistic and has a way of telling a story without words.

I began shooting in film and found it's more natural and has kept me levelheaded knowing that I have only 24 exposures and that every shot counts instead of starting with digital and just clicking away without even making sure a snapshot is actually good. Now that I work on both mediums, I use my art influenced views to make every shot count. Digital is just acceptable in the industry because it's cheaper and take less time to prepare an image. I use a Canon EOS 50D for shooting. It's a high end digital SLR that many photographers use. For film, I use a Canon EOS Elan II which is a personal favorite.

Skills

As far as editing goes, I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS4. As I have said before, having ample experience in fine arts, I know how to fine a balance in color and angles so using these programs are simple and effective. I also do use Lightroom but I find that Apple's Aperture 2.0 has a better quality output than Lightroom. I am capable of using both. I know all about color correction, masking, blemish removal, and textures. I also edit and shoot in RAW format and can convert them to JPG or TIFF if needed.

I work on both platforms. I am a fan of the Mac world but have no trouble working with PC's. Personally, I work well with others and find that the art industry forces you to be extrovert. I enjoy a sense of humor and love to laugh and take in all the perks and quirks of people and environments. I do know that there is a time an place for everything and I can maintain professional etiquette but still find time to laugh in chaos and stressful situations. I have excellence writing skills as well as great communication skills. Social networking is not a problem for me either.
