Professional Resume:
Throughout the years I have been doing some form of writing; essays, research papers, journal articles, fiction and non fiction stories/manuscripts, poetry and I have learned how to edit and critique them. I'm a straight A student, especially when it comes to writing. Over the last five years or so I have attended a writer's group. One writer's group I was Assistant Organizer of, but the Organizer decided to call it quits. For the last three years I've been Secretary for another writer's group, my duties were similar to Assistant Organizer except I had to create and send out bi-weekly newsletters. In both writer's group people help edit and critique everyone's pieces. I've been working for the school paper where I did interviews with people, features, and opinion pieces. I am a certified tutor through the "Read to Learn" program which is typically for ESL students to learn to Read, Write and Speak English, but the strategies apply to anyone of any learning experience. So as you can see I'm experienced in helping people writing and am experienced in all forms of writing. I was taught in the Read to Learn program, a method is to help the students create a realistic, short or long term goal that can be accomplished within the amount of time needed. The supervisor gave everyone a placement test to see which student belongs with which tutor, then we'd help them answer a sequence of questions about themselves and help them write words out if they can't. Each week the students are supposed to do independent reading and fill out the reading log, then we have to make sure they read. The supervisor gives everyone something to read with their students, and the student can bring in something that they want to read on their own and want help reading. For example, if they want help reading a bill or book or something, we'd help them with that. If I were to help someone with their essays or research papers, if they don't know how to begin, I'd start with the basics. Then if they want help editing (punctuation, grammar, etc), I'd go through it with them and explain what needs editing and why. If I were to help someone with their manuscripts/ poetry/ stories, if they want help critiquing, I'd help with that, and usually critiquing means offering helpful criticisms and suggestions, so I'd do that to help them improve on whatever they need help with.

Company Description:
My expertise is tutoring ESL students to read, write and speak English. However, being someone who just recently received her certificate and is still new to the program and yet very patient and I love helping everyone, if there's a language barrier, it's hard to teach. So my expertise revolves strictly around those who have a pretty good understanding of the English language; who has roughly a sixth grade reading and writing level.
