Harvis Educational Learning Program

Harvis Educational Learning Program began (in 2005) as my vision to help students develop better learning skills which would build their confidence and self-esteem and so result in achieving greater academic success. I started 'H.E.L.P.' to offer families the service of a local, family owned business of educators, that truly understand the frustrations as well as positive strategies necessary to help children gain the tools for success. I have now been employed as a Special Education Teacher for 13 years, with a Masters of Education degree. I am also Certified in Elementary Education, Social Studies and Psychology. I have been teaching students with various emotional and learning disabilities. My philosophy is that each child is a unique person with a variety of skills that need to be identified so that the proper strategies can be used to help gain the confidence for them to succeed

Harvis Educational Learning Program is a custom designed tutoring program that accommodates your child's individual needs in the privacy of your home. We hire certified teachers that are qualified in their individual subject area(s).

We offer you a free initial consultation to determine how we can best serve your child's needs. In addition we provide your child with a free diagnostic test to evaluate specific problem areas so to best assign your child to the tutor most qualified for their needs. Your child's tutor will then determine what strategies work best, based on the individual personality and learning style of your child. Both you and your child's teacher will be given a bi-weekly progress report to monitor improvement and create a plan for success.
