Just to give you a little background on myself, my name is Sarah Parker, but everyone calls me Parker!? (I?m actually in the process of changing it permanently to Parker Wallace.)? I worked most recently as a TV reporter here in Atlanta at CBS 46, but I got really burned out of the ?if it bleeds it leads? mentality, so I blissfully left the grind of local news.? I decided I wanted to pursue a more creative, enjoyable venture and have been doing more cooking than ever --- I couldn?t be happier!
I am not a formally trained Chef, but I was brought up by a family of incredible cooks who taught me invaluable skills!? Most people who would like a chef have lots of questions, so here?s how my personal chef service works:
We meet in person first and go over a menu for you and your family.? I have a questionnaire that you?ll fill out with all of your likes/dislikes/dietary restrictions and we can figure out the week of dinners. ?
On a set day, I will come to your home with all of my cooking supplies and spend 5-6 hours cooking up your meals.? I handle all the grocery shopping, the prep and the clean-up.? For the shopping part, most people simply just reimburse with cash when I give them the receipt; we can handle it however you are comfortable.? I normally do my shopping at the Dekalb Farmer?s market and the regular Kroger/Publix stops as well, depending on the menu selections.? If there?s a particular store you prefer, I?m happy to shop there.
I will package up all of your meals in labeled containers with re-heating instructions and leave them in the fridge/freezer depending on the meal.? I love cooking for big groups so I always offer up my services for clients who have dinner parties and entertain!
