Michelle Regnier is a member of The Academy for The Performing Artist a division of Opera New York headed by renowned director and mezzo-soprano Judith Fredricks. Miss Regnier has studied under Ms. Fredricks and managing director Lynn Fitzpatrick for the last two years.
In 2005 Michelle Regnier's vocals were featured in rap artist CANIBUS' song "Sit Yo Hot Ass Down" from the album Def Con Zero by Head Trauma Records. Reviews of Miss Regnier's performance can be found at I-Tunes.com
This year Miss Regnier appeared in Opera New York/APA's production of Don Pasquale and in the company's Vive La France and From Italy with Love concerts. Last October Miss Regnier was Interviewed for Spanish-speaking television and was featured singing the Barcarole piece from Tales of Hoffman.
Her repertoire includes the title role in Massenet's Manon, Liu in Puccini's Turandot, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi as well as "Perichole's Tipsy song" from Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman , "Caro Nome" from Rigoletto and "Je veux vivre" from Romeo and Juliette among others.
Around town Miss Regnier is highly requested at various venues including Trilussa and Krung Thai where she hosts Karaoke night on the weekends.
