Steve Lewis Jr. has over 12 years of valuable experience in the fitness arena working with an array of clientele from athletes, to the average person who is pursuing an increased level of personal health. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist, and Sports Performance Coach with a deep rooted passion for assisting people in reaching their fitness and wellness goals. He believes that conditioning the human body does not solely involve the physical aspect, but to truly be successful, one must also transform their mind. Influenced by his personal experiences as a college athlete as well as his commitment to a healthy lifestyle, Steve utilizes his plethora of knowledge to inspire, motivate and revitalize his client’s lives, one step at a time.
Steve’s many notable achievements include being one of the top 10 employees in the Atlanta, and Detroit branches of Bally Total Fitness. During his tenure his extraordinary skills were quickly recognized and he was entrusted to implement training programs for new trainers as well as develop safety protocols and procedures within the facilities. Steve then moved on to work with a privately owned gym where he would have more control over the operations and start to build his vision of the ideal fitness center. In Atlanta, he is currently the top sales person for Uckele Nutrition. Personal training is only one of Steve’s methods, he also holds group boot camps that are great for people of varying fitness levels. He has tailor made programs fit an array of competencies from beginner to advanced.
Steve’s love of sports and fitness started at a young age, during high school he was involved in track and field as well as basketball. Steve attended college at Eastern Michigan University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Communications with a minor in Sports Management. He amazingly received a full 4-year athletic scholarship after being a walk on for the football and continued through the end of his collegiate career. During that time he had the opportunity to intern with Eastern Michigan in their sports marketing program. Steve currently attends the National Personal Training Institute to further increase his knowledge of training techniques, and to be up to date on the latest and most innovative fitness methods. He has had over 80 hours of massage training to establish a better understanding of how exercise effects the body. Steve’s goal is to empower individuals to incorporate physical fitness and nutrition to create a balanced life style.
