ABOUT AMANDA
Before becoming a professional organizer, Amanda began her career with a passion to make a difference in the world. Prior to launching her professional organizing company, she graduated magna cum laude from the College of Wooster, a small liberal arts college. She worked for a charity for abused children for six years where she honed her organizational skills by coordinating large-scale events and executing fund-raising initiatives. Her path then took her to South Africa where she cared for eight young girls orphaned due to the AIDS pandemic. During her time there, stripped of her material possessions, she learned the joy of living a life of simplicity. The people she met, by American standards, didn?t have much in a material sense. Although they had a minimum of possessions, their sense of joy far surpassed those of us that have much more. Their life was smaller on the outside ? no gadgets or closets full of clothes ? but they seemed to have a much bigger life on the inside. Their depth of joy at the simplest things ? a smile or small act of kindness ? was contagious. Upon her return, Amanda was eager to share their simple, clutter-free way of life with others. But how?
Out of this challenge, her company Simplify. was born. It was the marriage of her two passions ? to make a difference in the world and share with others the joy of simplifying and organizing their life. Amanda considers herself part therapist, part organizer. She will provide you with organizing solutions and ideas to de-clutter and simplify your life. She will help you shed the outer clutter that is robbing you of leading the life of your dreams.
