2006                            Taller de Musics in Barcelona, Spain. (Jazz Studies with Alfons Carrascosa)

2003                            Received the title of Saxophone Interpreter from the University of Chile, with maximum honors. (With Professor Miguel Villafruela)

2001                            Graduated from University of Chile with a Bachelors Degree in Arts, majoring in Saxophone, with maximum distinctions.

1999                            Awarded a scholarship from the Andes Foundation and in 2002 he received another one from the Teatro Municipal of Santiago.

1998                            Attended the Master Class by Professor Claude Delangle from the National Conservatory of Paris, France.

1992 – 1994                Studied musical composition at the Professional Institute Modern School of Music. 

MUSICAL EXPERIENCE: 

As member of the Latin-American Saxophone Quartet:  September 15^th, 2007 plays at the Wisteria Ways House in Rockridge, CA. The 16^th of September at the Anna’s Jazz Island in Berkeley, CA. The 19^th of the same month in Albany at The Memorial Park. On September 21^st at the Jazz School in Berkeley, CA.  On 22nd at the Mission Cultural Center and also at The Music Community Center in San Francisco, CA. At the same date at La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley, CA. 

In 2005 and 2006 performed in several events, while residing in Spain. 

Also on 2004 plays in the sound track of a Chilean film called “Visions of the Past” directed by Mr. Pedro Sabatini. He has performed with several orchestras like the National Youth Symphonic Orchestra, the Chilean Symphonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago. 

In 2003 the most popular field of music he has participated in several international jazz festivals such as the Fifth Jazz International Festival with Los Andes Big Band; The International song Festival of Vina del Mar as saxophonist for the group Lucybell. 

On January 2000 with the Villafruela Saxophone Quartet, records two CD’s: “Saxophone in Concert” and “Saxophones in Latin-America”. 

Since 1997 as a member of the Villafruela Saxophone Quartet performs contemporary and classical music in Chile, Argentina and Bolivia as well as Chilean and foreign television shows.
