Over the past twelve years, I have been a mother, a nanny (3 months to 15 year olds) , an instructional assistant (2nd-5th grade), art instructor at Boys & Girls Club (1st-6th grade), and a tutor for many children (grades K-8). At one point I also home schooled my three children for a year and a half.
As and instructional assistant, I attained great experience with children that were learning disabled, english language learners, autistic, and emotionally/psychologically disabled. My specialties are teaching art, reading, English, and math. Plus, I enjoy teaching history, humanities, and sciences.
Teaching children is my life's work! I love children, I love to learn, I love to teach, and I love to help others. From newborns to teenagers, I love them all.
I have worked in Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) for 1 year, and at Mesa Public School District for 2 years.
My art knowledge is in classical fine art, some classes, and trial and error. Here are some examples of my work:
