Chef Sara is a professionally trained chef, food writer and restaurant consultant.
Sara grew up in the tri-state area and has resided in Brooklyn, New York for the last 12 years. In 2004, during a busy career as a web consultant, Sara decided to pursue her passion for food and wine, enrolling in the professional culinary program at the Institute for Culinary Education, where she graduated with High Honors. She received additional culinary training as an apprentice under Anita Lo, the award-winning chef and owner of Annisa in the West Village. She has also catered for David Waltuck of Chanterelle and the James Beard Foundation. Her love of food and culture has led her to advance her expertise through culinary training in Brazil, Mexico and New Mexico, and she is always learning more about food through travel and practice.
In 2010, Chef Sara received both the Intermediate and Advanced WSET Wine certifications from the International Wine Center.

Here's how a typical relationship with Healthy Meals NY works: Once you get in touch, we meet in person, on the phone or via email. We learn about you and your family's food preferences, including any likes, dislikes, allergies, dietary needs and nutrition goals. When you're ready to start, we develop a detailed meal plan, schedule, and make arrangements with you for your meal delivery. We can leave items directly with you, or we will leave items in your refrigerator or freezer in your absence. You'll receive a list of meals provided, heating and serving instructions, and all food will be clearly labeled and safely packaged.
