Ashley Haug, Personal Trainer and Santa Barbara “local,” graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Biochemistry, Athletic Coaching and Personal Training/Group Fitness Instruction. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the distinguished National Academy of Sports Medicine, and specializes in Post-rehabilitation Exercise, Strength and Core Conditioning, Pre-natal/ Post-partum Fitness, and Sports-Specific Training and Nutrition. Her experience in the health and wellness field includes working as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Massage Therapist at the Goleta Valley Athletic Club where she was awarded Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer of the year in 2006 and 2007, respectively. In addition she has worked as a Physical Therapist Aide, and has coached youth and high school sports teams. She is a certified Massage Technician in modalities including Swedish, Compressive Deep Tissue Massage, and Pregnancy Massage. She is currently pursing additional certifications in Corrective Exercise and Massage Therapy, and looks forward to continuing her education with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition.

As a Personal Trainer, Ashley feels it is crucial to emphasize the importance of seeing the big picture of fitness as a lifestyle. Exercise must become something that you do without question, like brushing your teeth. The decision to carry out a fitness program cannot be taken lightly. It requires a lifelong commitment of time and effort. She is dedicated to developing programs for her clients that will produce results, while taking into account all aspects of health including previous experience, injuries, and individual fitness goals.
