Ms. Jaydene Oconnor, better known as Chef Jaydene, hails from Seattle, Washington. This marvelous chef knows that creating delicious cuisine is something that keeps her spirit grounded and uplifted at the same time. Have you ever tasted foods that made your heart and soul feel good? Well this is one chef who possesses the ability to turn any regular food into tasty “soul foods”.
 
Chef Jaydenehas been in the kitchen creating for over 30 years. Her first experience was unleashed at the tender age of five by helping out in a local family-owned restaurant. She would dazzle the customers with her natural charm while cleaning tables and doing simple tasks. This began her passion for how foods made people smile and feel good after taking their first bite. She continued working in the restaurant industry all through high school and her college years.
 
At the age of 24, Chef Jaydeneopened a café in Seattle called, The Sugar Bar. It specialized in gourmet sandwiches, bistro style salads and light fare. “It was an exciting business venture. It gave me more drive to want to relocate and pursue this passion in another market and on a higher level, although I loved creating new dishes with Seattle’s fresh produce and products”, she says.

After a successful run, Chef Jaydenesold her café, packed her stuff and moved to Los Angeles to claim her place as a creative Personal Chef and to bring her imaginative culinary talents to the well-known and famous. In late 2008, this talented lady was flown to from Los Angeles to Thailand to prepare healthy dishes for actor Jean Claude Van Damme, for two month while he was on set filming his latest project.
 
Chef Jaydene insists her cuisine is about fresh and natural ingredients used thoughtfully and imaginatively to create innovative gourmet dishes, with distinctive personality and unique style. The fare is lighthearted and down to earth, inspired by what’s in season. She believes that cooking is a form of expression and creativity. Chef Jaydenesays, “Food isn’t just a substance, with the proper love and care, it should feed your heart and soul.”
