This band was put together by the late James Dockery in 1977 the name of the band then was called Bluegrass Little Bits ,as the band got older they dropped the wording (bluegrass little) an added (of grass), they are now called the Bits of Grass Band. They are a hard driving Bluegrass band well known and well liked in this area and the surrounding areas, and always receive many standing ovations at their performances. Bits of Grass has preformed at some great festivals including Palladium Theater in ST. Petersburg Florida where they got a lot of standing ovations and received great reviews for their performance, Bluegrass Family Gathering festival in Arcadia Florida, The Bluegrass Shop in ST. Petersburg Florida, Florida State Bluegrass festival in Perry Florida, Florida Day Bluegrass festival in Guyton Georgia, Haines City Bluegrass festival in Haines City Florida . They are definitely a drawing card for any and all events.
