Amy Melliza has been a registered nurse for more than ten years. A native of the Philippines, Amy moved to the United States in 2000 and began a career as a traveling nurse, enabling her to live and work in many major US cities for a period of several months each. In 2002, Amy was assigned to work at St. Petersburg?s Bayfront Medical Center. Falling in love with the Tampa Bay area, Amy decided to stay when that assignment ended, accepting a permanent position working in pediatric CVICU at All Children?s Hospital in 2003.
Amy proudly become a US citizen in 2006 and is actively following her American Dream. Noting that many of her friends, coworkers and the parents of many of her patients often had more to do that 24 hours allowed, Amy decided to help fill that need and started ? Amy the Shopping Lady? personal concierge and errand services.
