JaQlyn Dutch, CEO and production designer of 2080 Studios a fashion design and manufacturing firm based in Los Angeles. 2080 focuses on the production of art and fashion expressed through music, fine art, and apparel inspired by the 1980?s trends combined with art and the culture of the future.
Early 2008, the 20 year old influenced by 1980?s pop culture and personal unique sense of style, joined forces with the CEO of Vintage City Entertainment, Tai French. Making 2080 Studios affiliated with Vintage City Entertainment a premiere production company that specializes in film, literature, music, philanthropy, and stage productions providing entertainment for all ages. JaQ Dutch is also the director of artist development in music for Vintage City/ 2080 Studios, managing local artist and developing their careers. October 2008 JaQ acquired a young DJ from Hawthorne, California with serious talent and the ability to express art through music. Since then JaQ has attained local artists and DJs with unsmiling tremendous gifts that carry the vision of 2080 to new heights.
The relationship between French and Dutch developed into a partnership expanding on both companies and combining their creative personalities, participating in the development in their community, hosting local fundraisers, and charity events. In 2008 Dutch will also co produce and feature in two short films under Vintage City Entertainment. (Maniacal and the Calloway). She will also play Danielle in the forthcoming Vintage City original urban stage production For Better or Worse. Spring 2009, a series of children?s book written by JaQ and published by Vintage City Studios will be released to the public under her pseudonym Meg B. Leave. JaQlyn is working on her second label The Dutch Anthology clothing inspired by 1920s and 1930s era intergraded with Dutch?s own sense of style and debonair.
Dutch started reaching out at a young age, in 1998, she volunteered for various organizations such as Honduras relief fund, raising money and food for victims. Dutch?s inspiration came from a high school friend Elias ?DJ Goonie? Whitaker, who started his own production company Stylish Habitz. Since then Dutch had collaborated with various talent, building 2080 Studios into a brand name.
