Professional Resume:
Cover letter:
My name is Luisa and I have a Masters in Spanish Language and Literature (Millersville University) and have worked as a teacher in several colleges and schools in South America and the United States. I am also fluent in French and able to teach at a basic or intermediate level.
I have significant experience teaching foreign languages to American students (3rd to 11th) graders and such experience allows me to foster a love and appreciation of the Spanish language through Hispanic literature and culture.
All activities revolve around the four skills of language learning: speaking, writing, listening and reading.
As an Educational Consultant
I have distributed educational software to several Schools (private and public) and have contacted several principals and schools directors to be part of the ?Dare to Dream Program? scholarship; promoted by a private company called Brain Storm.
Promoting education is my passion and as a trilingual educator with sales experience (educational products and Real Estate) I know I am able to deliver the proper message to the superintendents, principals, teachers and parents committed to their children?s education.
As a Spanish teacher
I know I am an excellent asset to any educational institution or individual interested in leading their students or him/herself to achieve a very fluent Spanish level, as well as advanced reading and comprehension skills that would give them/him/her the tools to cope with every day?s ordinary situations and in some cases expand to more technical language skills required in certain professions. (Economics, Medical, Criminal Justice etc).
The following are the Institutions I have worked for:
Harrisburg Area Community College
Milton Hershey School
Hanover High School
New Jewish Community High School (Still working)
I am convinced that serious teachers and tutors are those who are able to expand their knowledge on a particular subject. Do not forget that one of the unfortunate reasons why the quality of our education (mostly at the public schools in the US), is considered mediocre; is the fact that teachers are chosen very often, based on seniority and not on education (A math or science teacher teaching Spanish?) I offer high quality language teaching and tutoring, which I was able to master.
